The 2012 tournament season kicked off Sunday at Fat Daddy's in Laurel. Foster continued his hot streak by winning the year's first tournament just like he did in 2011. This time he teamed up with Cartwright who silenced the critics with his clutch performance. They defeated Carroll County (a.k.a. Charred Skeever) in the finals handing the East vs. West Tournament Champions their only losses of the afternoon.

In 3rd place was Get Mitch Or Die Tryin' who advanced to the winner's bracket final before being knocked out of contention. Rumor has it that the pair will be competing a lot...

Two new squads joined the ranks of the Federal Hill Winter League with each fairing very differently in their debuts. Low Expectations, led by captain Earl Smith, slammed Last Cup with a 9-0 victory and then took it to We're Not That Drunk 6-3 after their big win the previous week. Also earning 9-0 victories were Pong With Friends (2-0) and LP MFERS (1-1).

Two squads avoided bounced back after losses last week to avoid 0-2 starts. Thanks For Coming Out made short work of Team America 7-2 and Road Sodas smashed Part Time Models 8-1. Week 2...

Now two weeks into the Bethesda Winter League, things are starting to get exciting! You Just Got Sanduskied bounced back from week 1 with a 7-2 victory over Prestige Worldwide with the help of their ladies Jill E. and Lauren M. both with 3 wins. In the upset of the evening was the last minute victory of Rack City...

January 7th I get a text message from Billy (wsobp founder) asking if I "Have time to talk?" What a messed up year it was at the world series. I've been upset because I was slapped in the face during a sweet 16 game, without consequence, but the second anyone was rough with their equipment the team was thrown out. By all accounts, it seems bpong has their priorities askew. Like I said, just a crazy year. So Billy wants to talk, but he's totally exhausted. He tells me in the nicest possible way (really) that he'll speak with me...

It was an exciting start for the Bethesda Winter League Monday night at Tommy Joes! Prestige Worldwide dominated Beer Pressure in an 8-1 victory for the rookie squad as Mike J. got 3 wins for his squad. 100% Chance of Reign was led by Anthony L. and Stephanie W. with 3 wins each to help their squad take down Rack City Bitch in a 6-3 match-up. Animal Style pulled out a close one with a 5-4 victory over You Just Got Sanduskied. For all the complete boxscores and standings, check out the league page!

Maryland Beer Pong opened it's 8th season Saturday with the kick-off of the Federal Hill Winter League. The newly formed Part Time Models jumped out to an early league lead powered by Josh, Alex, and captain Max Power, after their 8-1 victory over Team Oomph. In the later round, the new-look Soooo Nice earned a 1st place tie as they cruised to an 8-1 victory over LP MFERS.

In other action, We're Not That Drunk pulled the upset over Sandwich and an Ale with 3-0 performance from Anna, Ryan, and O'Hare. There were...

If you're friends with the right people on facebook, then you've probably heard this story about Massachusetts based Cathedral High School. During their state championship game, the clock was running out and all they needed was one touchdown to pull ahead. They'd get their chance, because a pass was thrown... and it was good!! This kid catches the ball, and starts making a bee line toward the end zone, running his heart out he straightens his arm and raises his fist skyward sword. Touchdown! And it would have counted too, if he wasn't such an asshole about scoring. At least...

The 7th annual Maryland State Beer Pong Championships™ kicked off yesterday with Justin Davidson hitting the ceremonial first shot for the first time in tournament history. When the dust settled a few hours later, we were crowning a new champion. Back By Popular Demand defeated No Monkey Bu$iness in a dramatic best of 3 final as Jason completes his sweep of the states. In 3rd and 4th place were McAllister and Urinal Cakes who made the finals of their respective brackets before being ousted by the finalists. 5th place honors go to Happy Endings who defeated the aptly named Conor...

It's been over four months since the last Tuesday Morning Bring-Back. You may not have noticed, since it appears that nobody visits the website anymore. The front page has become a ghost town of outdated league results, hastily-written recaps of the few tournaments that have taken place, and a sad reminder of the once-golden era of Maryland Beer Pong.

I'm not going to sit here and reminisce about the good old days. I've done that enough. A few of you have been around since the beginning. I don't need to tell you anything. You may check the website occasionally, you...

The 4th annual Maryland State 1-on-1 Championships took place yesterday and we have a new champion. Jason Davenport earned the #1 seed and then defeated the defending champion, Jordan McAllister, in the finals to capture the championship. In the 3rd place was Bunky Weichert who defeated last year's finalist Austin Lanham who had to settle for 4th. In the 5th and 6th place match Ryan McAllister defeated Earl Smith. For complete results, see the tournament page.
